Audience Will Always Standby Me And Protect Me: Vishwak Sen
Vishwak Sen's Paagal has finished the first weekend with remarkable collections. The movie has grossed a whopping 6.6 Crore in the first weekend of its release (Saturday and Sunday run), the team has announced at the Success meet on Monday.
"Even though we announced the release date at a short notice, I am worried about the lack of time for promotions. For the first time, I was seeking help from someone from inside. I could not sleep all week and do not even have time to check if someone really helped. Then, there are some people pulling me and the film down even before the first show is completed. There are many problems like 50% occupancy, No Second shows, and Low Ticket Prices. But overcoming all that, the audience stood behind me and made the film a big hit. The movie has collected 6.5 Crore gross across the globe. The opening is 40% more than HIT. Many people were waiting for me to change my name so that they can pull me down. But sir, the audience is behind me. No one can stop me. This is just beginning. Families are enjoying in multiplexes and single screens are shaking. I thank the media for promoting me. The audience will save me and protect me. I Love you," Vishwak Sen emotionally said.
"Paagal is a very emotional journey for all of us. We had many difficulties with the release with such a short notice release. There are many other problems. But still, the love people are showing on us is very unexpected and genuine. People are watching the film multiples times. Vishwak Sen supports all films releasing in Telugu without any calculations. He talks great about everyone. He loves cinema. I hope he gets the same support. I thank the producers for believing us," Nivetha Pethuraj said.
Producer Bekkem Venugopal thanked each and everyone who worked on the film. "We have left the entire film right from the production to promotions to Vishwak Sen and he has pulled it off easily. He is going to bag so many hits and with all my experience, I believe he is here to say. I thank Dil Raju and Sirish for trusting the script and standing behind the project despite many problems. I have forgotten all the hard work of two years when I saw a packed audience in the theaters. Families are enjoying the film. The movie's talk is getting better and the collections are growing stronger. I thank the audience for this," he said.
